Before starting the research it is important to collect data about the family. To start the genealogical research, in most of the cares the necessary information is supplied from: certificates of baptism, birth and marriages certificates, school reports, notices on photos or family Bible. It is worth to ask older family members, relatives, who can have old documents, or valuable data about their own parents and grandparents. Every name, date, place and any other data (profession, religion, social status, oral tradition, stories) can have a high value on successful research.
I can start the research with these data. Looking at the data can I start the process of the research. During the familytree research I visit the archives and library collections, sometimes museums, cemeteries, mayor's offices or the closer or distant relatives. During the research I go back step by step in time and from generation to generation I find out the family's ancestors. I do the research strictly based on sources I have, I make the sources clear to everyone. I make photographies on demand (if it is possible) of the original sources.
During this time I always keep the contact with my client. I always give information about the process of the research .Usually the process is easier if the family's name is not so frequent, and if the ancestors did not move to another settlement. With a frequent family name or with lot of movements the research goes on harder. For example sometimes there is a namesake,. permanent address identity or in case of inaccurate , missing parish registers the research can get stuck. Sometimes in these cases - with the help of other sources - the research can be moved on. The client decides after closing one part or arriving to a milestone if he/she wants to move on in the research..The continuous connection with the client makes it possible for the client to control the research and the expenses.
